You can add additional closing choices by editing the closing.wcm macro. Tools, Macro, Edit, then type closing and choose Edit. Find the location of yours sincerely. You will see a dialog similar to DialogAddListItem ("Closing"; "Closing"; "Yours sincerely").
From here copy one of the existing lines. Now insert a new blank line where the option should fit alphabetically in the list of closings. For example, add a Very truly yours option, insert a new line between Thank you and Warmest regards. Paste the copied text and change the line to read Yours sincerely, or what ever you wanted, ensuring you keep the quotation marks.
Save&Compile to save the changes. Then choose File, Close to close the macro.
File, New, Options, New Template. Choose File Save. In the description box, type Personal Letterhead. Template Name letthead, select the group you want it in. Click OK.
Create the graphics box you want and place it where you want it. Chose Wrap on the feature bar and select Through. OK, then close the Feature bar
Change the font size, color and style to your choice and choose to center the text. Type your name and address.
Press Enter as many times as necessary in order to have the date at a preset location. From the Menu bar, choose Insert, Date, Date Code, Press Enter 3 more times.
With your cursor where the salutation will be, choose the Build Prompts button on the Feature Bar. Choose Add and type Recipient Name, then select Paste. Place a comma after the point [Recipient Name],
Press Enter 3 times and type Sincerely (or what ever you want to have as a closing. (You can first center your text if desired) , if you desire to have a place for your signature. Press Enter 4 more times and type your name. Otherwise, just type you name under your closing
Place the cursor 2 lines below the salutation and choose, from the menu bar, Insert, Bookmark, Set Quickmark. Choose OK in the Prompt Builder dialog box.
Choose Exit Template from the feature bar and choose yes to save.
Choose File, New Options, New Template. Choose File, Save. In the description box, type Personalized Envelope. In the Template Name box, type Env Select a group to have the template saved in and choose OK
Choose from the menu bar, Format, Layout, Document, Initial Codes Style, then choose Format, Layout, Page&Paper Size. From the paper definitions list, choose Envelope #10, then choose Select.
Choose Format, Margins, and set all margins to 0.25". Choose OK twice to return to your template.
Add a graphic is you desire. Ensure that you change the Wrap to Through.
Choose your font style, size and color, then type your return address and press enter 9 times.
Change the margins again to left at 5", then change the font color, style to one of your choice. font size to 14.
On the feature bar, choose Build Prompts.
Choose Add and type Recipient Name, Choose Add and type Address, Choose Add and type City, State ZIP.
Highlight Recipient Name and click once Paste. Place the cursor on the next line where the address will go, then click on Address in the dialog box and select Paste. Place the cursor where the last line of the address will go then click on City, State Zip and select Paste.
(Close the dialog box if it's still showing)
Place the cursor on the envelope right before [Recipient Name] then, from the menu bar, select Insert, Bookmark, Set Quickmark.
Choose Exit Template and Yes to save changes.
To move letters that Letter Expert uses, you will need to exit the macro that runs Letter Expert. Do as follows
File, New, create the group Ltr Head (or any other 8 character title you want, that you want the WP letters to go to.
Copy the letters to the new group, along with Letter Expert.
Delete the letters and Letter Expert from the original 'letter' section.
Under the Ltr Head group, highlight Letter Expert, choose Options, Edit
On the menu bar, choose Tools, Template Macro, Edit. Find and choose ltr_ex to edit.
Go to page 7, line 2.21", Pos 4.38" or there abouts and you will find, in red letters, the word letter no other red letters will be connected to this word. Ensure that you have the cursor positioned within the word and begin editing it so it reads Ltr Head
Press Save&Compile, Close, Exit Template, Save.
Now when you run Letter expert, it will be with all the other styles of letterheads you have created.
If you will be creating several templates, you may wish to consider copying and editing a current template. Several of the pre-installed templates can be very helpful, as well as ones that you've already created.
File, New. Select a template that you want to copy. Click on the Options button and select Copy Template. Now select Main and press Copy (unless it's already in main, then choose a different group).
Now on the left side, select Main, click on the template you just copied there, then click on the Options button and press Edit Template.
Show your Reveal Codes (View, Reveal Codes) and start deleting any codes you don't want in your template.
When you're done deleting the un-needed codes, select File, Save As and type a description for your template, type a name for the file in the second box, then click on group you want to put it in and press OK. Press the button for Exit Template.
Now go back to File, New, click on Main in the left box, and in the right box, click on Create a Blank Web Document. Click on the Options button and select Delete Template, Yes.
Now you can edit your newly created template.
